We bid goodbye to the Romans with a final celebration!
This afternoon all of the Year 4 classes came together in the hall to perform our Arts Fortnight pieces for a final time, share some of our writing and discuss our learning. It was fascinating to see how, although similar, all of our learning journeys took different paths.
European Day of Languages
Today we’ve been celebrating European Day of Languages in KS2. As part of this we’ve been sharing and celebrating our languages we speak at home as well as our school languages – French and Spanish!
Cinderella (Rags to Riches)
We’ve got our story map engrained in our heads now – test us at home and see if we know it!

We’ve been creating our own story maps and then this week we’ve been dissecting the text as a ‘reader’ and ‘writer’.

Could you be on the next ‘The Voice Kids’?
The Voice Kids will be returning to our screens on ITV in 2022 and we’re looking for super talented singers and duos aged 7-14* who have what it takes to take over The Voice Kids stage.
I was hoping to touch base to see if you know of any exceptional young singers that would be interested in taking part in the next series?
Parents are welcome to email me directly to chat further or they can submit an application form via this link; itv.com/beontv/thevoicekids. Please note that we cannot consider any child for participation unless we receive an application form from a parent or duly authorised legal guardian – please do not include any details of any child in any response you send.
Applications must be submitted by a parent/legal guardian and auditions are taking place in October and November 2021.
I have also attached our flyer if you’re happy to share it with any interested singers?
If you have any questions or wish to find out more, please feel free to get in touch with me directly, emma.robinson@itv.com or 0161 952 6234
Many thanks,
Emma
Voices in the Park (…and in the hall!)
Wow, what a first week back in Year 4 looking at Voices in the Park! We have immersed ourselves in the world of times tables and some arithmetic; been out and about in the school grounds completing Art in 4 perspectives and started our reading of ‘The Firework Makers’ Daughter’.
This afternoon, Year 4 came together in the hall to celebrate our learning this week and to show off our Art work, drama and poems.
